Hollywood actress Selma Blair will be the celebrity judge on the superhit TV series Project Runway.

The Cruel Intentions star will follow in the footsteps of other celebrity judges such as Lindsay Lohan and Eva Longoria Parker, reported Daily Mail online.

The superhit show is a competition for fashion designers with the finalists getting to showcase their collections at the New York Fashion Week.

Blair will be joining supermodel Heidi Klum,fashion designer Michael Kors and fashion magazine editor Nina Garcia on the judging panel.

“We’ve been wanting to have Selma Blair on Project Runway for a while. She is so chic and has great individual style,” said executive producer Jane Cha.

The 38-year-old will help judge the contestants designs in the first episode of season eight of the reality show.

“Selma ended up being a perfect guest judge for our first challenge super knowledgeable about fashion and the show, because she’s a fan,” added Cha.

The new season of “Project Runway” begins airing on July 29 on Lifetime TV! Selma’s episode airs on the first episode – so make sure you check your local TV listings for exact air times in your area!

Digital Spy is reporting that Selma is going to be co-starring in a mob drama titled “Tommy’s Little Girl”.

Paul Sorvino stars in the project as a mob boss and the drama allegedly centres on his character’s relationship with his daughter, played by Selma Blair.

The show is being developed by actor Jamie Foxx.

Especially cuz I’m behind camera!” While today, (March 10), Nicole tweeted about how much fun the shoot was! “Thank you @amandadecandenet & @mrskutcher for such a wonderful, inspiring day. The release date for “Columbus Circle” in the UK will be August 27, 2010! There is no word about a US release date – but lets hope that it sometime close to the UK date.

I will post more information about the release in the US and other countries as I find it.

Selma is currently in Los Angeles filming an independent thriller titled “Columbus Circle”. The film also stars Amy Smart, Giovanni Ribisi, Jason Lee and Kevin Pollak.

“Circle” centers on a reclusive heiress (Blair) in an upscale Manhattan apartment building who is brought face-to-face with her fears when a detective (Ribisi) shows up to investigate a homicide next door and a new couple (Smart and Lee) moves in to that apartment. Pollak plays the building’s concierge and one of the heiress’ few friends. Jason Antoon has also been cast in the pic.

NBC handed out a full-season pickup to freshman comedy “Kath & Kim” late Friday.

The back-nine order for the UMS/Reveille-produced comedy, an U.S. version of the hit Australian half-hour, follows a Nielsen uptick Thursday night when “Kath” drew 5.5 million viewers, 2.3 ratings in 18-49.

While it has slipped following its strong premiere, “Kath & Kim” has consistently retained all of its “My Name Is Earl” lead-in among adults 18-49. In its four airings to date, “Kath” has averaged 2.6/ 6 in 18-49 and 6.0 million viewers overall.

“‘Kath & Kim’ is a show we love and believe in,” NBC’s exec vp Teri Weinberg said. “We have incredible confidence in the creative auspices of this show and we believe it’s a perfect fit with our Thursday-night comedies.”

“Kath” stars Molly Shannon and Selma Blair as an iconoclastic mother-daughter duo.

Michelle Nader, who adapted the Australian format, is exec producing with the original series creators and stars Gina Riley and Jane Turner along with Rick McKenna and Howard T. Owens.
